Open bites occur when teeth are not aligned properly when your mount is closed. The back teeth meet, but the front teeth do not, and this is majorly characterized by a vertical gap.
In overbites, upper teeth overlap lower front teeth, as the upper jaw is too far forward, and the lower jaw is too far back.
Extra gaps and spaces also occur between teeth. This can result from missing teeth, undersized teeth, an oversized jaw or a combination of these.
Deep bites occur when front teeth excessively overlap lower teeth as the bite is closed, which can bite into lower gums. In most cases, the lower jaw is often shorter than the top jaw.
Laser treatment effectively removes excess gum tissue to recontour the gum line. This exposes more of the tooth's surface so they look longer.
Sometimes laser treatment helps reveal enough tooth surface to place a bracket or help impacted teeth emerge.
